The AC.SUB is designed to deliver low distortion musical bass, the foundation of most music. Its unique design allows it to be placed free standing or buried up to 2/3rds of its depth into the ground. Our extensive background in all-climate speaker design assures us that an outdoor speaker must be sealed to the elements if you expect it to last a long time. Any opening into the enclosure will let in moisture and small critters that will eventually lead to degraded performance and the eventual destruction of internal components. The AC.SUB incorporates a single high power 10” ACAD driver within the totally sealed enclosure which drives the 12” ACAD “drone cone” you can see within the grill area, to produce tuneful, musical bass. This variation on a bandpass enclosure design ensures accurate bass with no possibility for environmental intrusion. When installed in combination with Terra satellite speakers the AC.SUB makes for a full frequency high fidelity system that’s hard to beat, indoors or out! The AC.SUB can be ordered with or without a built-in 120Hz passive crossover. It’s also available as part of our Packages Program including the satellite speakers and a powerful DSP capable amplifier.
